It was nearly impossible to get an approach shot of the Tower of Belem without other tourists. Ah well, this couple makes a rather nice addition to the beautiful flowering trees. Photo taken in August 2016.

Details in black and white
A look at some of the beautiful details in the Jerónimos Monastery.
I think they look especially good in black and white.

Arches in black and white
I just love arches and there were plenty to be found in Lisbon! These line the Praça do Comércio, a square I strolled through at almost all times of the day. Photo taken in August 2016.

Streetlamp and decay
There is so much beautiful decay in Lisbon. It's a shame to see, but it does make for such wonderful photos. More treasures can be found here. Photo taken in August 2016.

Brick by brick
I discovered this mural while wandering the streets of Lisbon last August. With the recent Brexit vote and continuing problems with migration, I found this to be a timely message. Are we building society up or tearing it down brick by brick? This mural was painted by Portuguese artist Andrea Tarli. More murals can be found here. Photo taken in August 2016.

Blue sky vista
Lisbon's many hills give way to beautiful vistas over the city and the sea beyond. More skies are at Skywatch. Photo taken in August 2016.
