I don't quite remember where this bridge was, somewhere between Hue and Hoi An, but I love that we were driving towards the big puffy clouds and blue sky. Photo taken in November 2016.

Inside the bridge
A look through the Japanese Friendship Bridge from a different angle. It's a popular spot with tourists and there was often a queue to walk across as only a certain number of people can be on the bridge at once. Photo taken in November 2016.

Reflections at night
This wood and stone bridge was built by the Japanese in the late 1500s as a gift to the Vietnamese people. It looks especially lovely when lit up at night. More reflections can be found here. Photo taken in November 2016.

Crossing over
My trip to Israel started with a short stopover in Istanbul. We had to take a bus from one airport to another which included a trip across the Bosphorus Bridge which links Europe to Asia. Photo taken in October 2015.

Sunday stroll
A brisk walk around Krumme Lanke in Berlin is refreshing way to get some fresh air during the holiday season. A lot of other people were out and about trying to work off some of the extra calories. If you like bridges, you can see more at Sunday Bridges. Photo taken in December 2012.

Bridge
Another look at the Gehry designed bridge at the Millenium Park in Chicago. I really love exploring this place with my camera. Photo taken in August 2012.

BP bridge
It's unfortunate that so many elements of the Millennium Park are named for big business. But I suppose it's worth it since their money did basically save this project from ruin. The BP Bridge is another work of Frank Gehry, it links up Grant Park and Lake Michigan to the Millennium Park proper. You can't really see it well in this photo, but it's made up of thousands of folded pieces of stainless steel. It's quite the architectural masterpiece! Photo taken in August 2012. Sarnia crossing
On my latest trip to the US from Canada, my husband and I tried a new crossing. This is the bridge from Sarnia, Ontario to Port Huron, Michigan. There was not a lot of traffic and the border guards were friendlier than most. Photo taken in August 2012. For more bridges, take a look at Sunday Bridges.

Heading home
It costs one dollar to cross the bridge that takes you from the U.S. to Canada. Luckily I also got a nice bridge shot for my money! To see more bridges, take a look at Sunday Bridges.

Swampy bridge
This bridge will take you over the swampland I showed you on Friday. It's not the most visually pleasing of all bridges, but it gets the job done! Photo taken in upstate New York, May 2012. You can see more bridges of all shapes and sizes on Sunday Bridges.

Crystal bridge: Take two
Here's a look at the Crystal Bridge from the outside. As you can see, it's a greenhouse that forms a bridge over a small body of water. I've featured it here before. Photo taken in December 2011. If you like bridges, visit Sunday Bridges.

Belize bridge
I hated to leave Roatan, but now we're on to Belize! This is a bridge over the Old Belize River. It empties right out into the ocean, so it was a convenient place to start our wildlife tour. We took a small boat up this river and saw lots of different animals: birds, iguanas, bats, monkeys and crocodiles. I'll show you more this week. Photo taken in December 2011. If you'd like to see more bridges from around the world, visit Sunday Bridges.

Over the Tiber
One of the many fantastic bridges in Rome. There's something about the eternal city that cries out for black and white. Photo taken in May 2011. To see more bridges from around the world, take a look at the Sunday Bridges series.
