Girls and Boys

I love seeing different toilet signs around the world. This pair in traditional Balinese costume were especially pleasing to my eye. More signs can be found here. Photo taken in December 2016.

Onboard

Made it home tonight. It's possibly my last flight from Tegel airport in Berlin. I tried to get some shots to remember the place! Photo taken in April 2012.

At an end

My holiday cruise had to come to an end at some time. It was great fun though and a nice break from cold Canada. The man working out on the tarmac waved to me after I got this shot at the Houston Hobby airport. Photo taken in December 2011.

Airport park

One of the best things about living in a big city is not having to travel through 10,000 airports in order to get over the pond. There's a direct flight from Toronto to Amsterdam and then it's just a short hop to Berlin from there. I took a little nap in this "park" on my most recent trip. It was quite calming with the fake trees, grass and even the sounds of birds and crickets. Photo taken in November 2011.

Airport reflections

Reflections from the fountain inside the Detroit airport. It's one of those with the dancing jets of water - an entertaining decoration when you've got a couple of hours to kill before your next flight. Photo taken in June 2010.

Paris airport

A look at the newest wing of the Charles de Gaulle airport.

Do you prefer it in color or black and white? Photo taken in October 2007.

Crowned

This is the Crown Room in the Schipol Airport in Amsterdam. The lounge is on the second story and the walls are all glass, so you can look down and see all the travelers hustling and bustling through the airport.
We flew through this airport on our way to Berlin back in June. It is one of the nicest crown rooms I've been to and two of those chairs pushed together made a good place to close your eyes for awhile.

Lost balloon

Can you see it? This view of the sky comes to you from the New Orleans airport. I think it's nice when public places take advantage of the natural light. And who would want to miss a view of this blue sky!

Welcome!

I love feeling welcomed when you arrive in a new city! Photo taken at the Key West Airport in May 2010.
