Milennium red

I don't think it gets much redder than this! These are the stadium chairs inside the Millennium amphitheater. The outdoor venue was designed by Frank Gehry - one of my favorite architects. I'll show you an overview of the performance space later this week. We were lucky enough to catch one of the symphony choirs rehearsing for an upcoming concert. A wonderful way to spend a few moments in the afternoon. Photo taken in August 2012.

Grand doorway

 

The beautiful main entrance to the Theatro Municipal in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. What a gorgeous city with so much fantastic architecture. I would have loved to see the inside, but that gives me a reason to go back! Photo taken in December 2006.

Water stage

One of the many nice things about the Crystal Bridge is this lovely amphitheater. In the summer, plays and concerts are often held here. And the best thing is, they're usually free! Photo taken in December 2011.

Set the stage

On the way up to the Acropolis, you get a nice view of this amphitheater of antiquity. There were not too many people around on the way up that morning. But it was a different story on the way down! Photo taken in May 2011.

Le TNB

The TNB is a popular place in Rennes. You can see classical music concerts, theater performances and even movies there. The performance space is beautiful. Photo taken in March 2003.

Red Rocks

This amphitheater outside Denver has hosted many big names from Bob Dylan to Coldplay. It's an interesting place to visit, it's too bad there were no shows while we were there.

The Birthday Party

While in Seattle my husband and I went to see a local production of Harold Pinter's The Birthday Party. It was a really good show and the set and costumes were also great!
