Temple

The temples in Bali are always so beautifully decorated. 

 

Women come in the mornings to add fresh flowers and offerings to the statues. It's a very interesting practice, apparently it helps to appease the spirits. Photos taken in December 2016.

Lavish location

The casinos and adjacent hotels in Macau make Las Vegas pale in comparison. The decoration and spectacles are over-the-top with glitz and glam.

A visit to Old Jaffa would not be complete without a look at the Zodiac Fountain. Many of the streets around this square take their names from the signs of the zodiac.

This fountain is at the heart of the Maulbronn Abbey. Apparently the original monks decided to build on this site because of the amazingly clean and fresh water they found here. Photo taken in March 2014.

Farewell Canada Tour: Fountain fun!

I found these playful figures in this small fountain very appealing. The work is entitled Hommage à Marguerite Bourgeoys. She was apparently one of the important pioneers in the development of the city of Montréal. She especially championed the idea of education for girls. I can definitely stand behind that! Refreshing

You'll find this refreshing fountain in the same plaza as the Chicago Picasso. It looks like a great place to dip your toes. In fact, I'm sure I saw a few dippers while I was there. Photo taken in April 2012.

Four seasons and a fountain

You'll find the Four Seasons mosaic mural gracing the Chase Tower Plaza in downtown Chicago. The work is by famed artist Marc Chagall and was gifted to the city by collector Frederick Prince back in the 1970s. It's a nice colorful piece that adds more beauty to an already beautiful city! Bellagio in black and white

The famed fountain in front of the Bellagio in Las Vegas. Every hour or so the fountain dances to different kinds of music. If you're in Vegas, don't miss it!

Friendship fountain

I personally find this fountain ultra-ug, especially since at this time it was under repair and not running. You'll find this marvel in the middle of Alexanderplatz in the former East Berlin. It was apparently a popular spot back in the day! Photo taken in July 2006.
