On the way up to the Acropolis, you get a nice view of this amphitheater of antiquity. There were not too many people around on the way up that morning. But it was a different story on the way down! Photo taken in May 2011.
Hello, Halcyon! Thanks for visiting my blog and reminding me to come visit you. I always enjoy your posts, but you have really caught my attention with Greece and Sicily. Although I've never been to Greece, Taormina is one of my all-time favorite towns! Etna had a shroud of clouds for the entire 4 or 5 days (?) we stayed at a hotel where we could see her from the balcony. Only once or twice did we get any view of the top at all. As you might have noticed, I've spent a lot more time offline than on lately, so I'm glad I dropped by. The situation may change soon, my heart is in it, but it seems to be in other projects more at the moment :) Lots of good wishes always. . . .
Very nice PoV
ReplyDeleteBreathtaking view! The city is really huge!
