It's amazing to think that this structure still stands almost intact after more than two thousand years. You really feel like you're living history when you step inside. The only downside for me was the crowds. Photo taken in May 2011. To see more skies from around the world, visit Skywatch.

I would love to go back here again. Have they finished all the work underneath so they could open it up to the public? It was all closed off when we were there many years ago. This is a wonderful shot. Love the perspective. genie

@Genie - you couldn't go down to the bottom, but it did seem that much of it has been renovated. They had also built a stage which I hadn't seen there when I visited before.
