Foggy days in monochrome


A last look at Venice. Doesn't Saint Mark's Square look great in black and white and with all that wonderful fog? I like it anyway. Photo taken in February 2004.

  6. I probably shouldn't say this but the photo reminds me of pictures of Nazi Germany in the 30s. Not that it isn't a good photo but it's got that dark and foggy look so typical of aforesaid photos.

  7. Whenever I see photos of St Mark's Sq I am amazed at the immense size of it! i rather like the endless repetition of the arches.

  10. Perhaps ... just perhaps ... two sliding steps to the right to open up the vertical columns a bit more. That would add more black, if I am right. But certainly a great building to work with, especially with the fog lurking ...
