I recently spent a long weekend in Phoenix, Arizona and got lots of new shots to share on this blog. Welcome to Arizona through my eyes! For more murals, take a look at Monday Murals. Photo taken in February 2013.
Fascinating mural with many images from the history of Mexican iconography. Has a wonderful graphic quality. I love the Southwest and look forward to more of your photos. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
Very interesting...although I'm not sure what it all symbolizes.
I went to high school in Phoenix for a couple of years. Lois and I moved back there after we got married and lived there for four yesrs. Finished my college at Arizona State, then did a year of graduate work. Bought a home in Scottsdale.
From what I've seen, things have changed quite a bit over the past 50 years! :)
Look forward to seeing your Arizona collection.
ReplyDeleteAn interesting style - looks some paste work and some paint! Cool!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your Phoenix pictures! This is a great mural!
ReplyDeleteInteresting concept with some ancient pyramids in the background.

ReplyDeleteI took a close look at the detail in mural. It makes me wonder what was going through the artist's mind.
ReplyDeleteWonderful mural, really touching!

ReplyDeleteLove this, I really appreciate how many murals in Arizona carry the Dia de los Muertos theme through them.
