More from Montréal. Something about this scene appealed to me - the windows with those flower boxes and the woman standing there. And I also love that the stop signs in Quebec are arret signs! They don't even have those in France; they definitely brought a smile to my face. Photo taken in July 2013. For more signs, visit Signs, Signs.
I was in Montreal once - in the late 70s for a meeting. Wish I'd paid more attention to the city then.
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely picture. Nice symmetry set off by the woman and the stop sign, and the wee fire hydrant!
Arret! Even if one doesn't understand the language, the shape and color of the sign help with the meaning!
ReplyDeleteMontreal and Quebec City are in my bucket list.
ReplyDeleteA cute corner.
ReplyDeleteQuebec - more french than the French!
ReplyDeleteThe idea of a farewell Canada tour is kind of bittersweet, I'll bet. Enjoy the rest of your time there.
ReplyDeleteAt least I understand the shape of the 'arret' sign. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love those flower window boxes.

Love those red flowers spilling over the window ledges. They complement the stop sign.
