Skywatch

A nice sky view from under the Rainier building in Seattle. Locals call it the wine glass building because of the way it's set up on a pedestal. Photo taken in April 2007.

Happy Friday everyone! Click on the skywatch link to see more skies from around the world.

  3. Wow, is that something. The composition is terrific with the tree, and it's so crisp. Very nice, and by the way, I still like your new blog format :)

  4. I love the perspective of looking UP at unique buildings. This one is wonderful!

I have to say though, that the design - to me - looks less like a wine glass and more like one of those white plastic salt shakers you put in your picnic basket.

  5. Clytie: I actually have no proof that's what the locals call it. I am just going off my Seattle city guide. Perhaps it's really called the picnic pepper shaker. I don't really think it looks much like a wine glass either.

  8. Great shot of a building that would have looked plain if it weren't for the pedestal. Cute nickname. :)
