Shopping street

There were plenty of shopping ops in Kusadasi. I like the way the streets are decorated with the paper lamps. It gave the city a festive feeling. Photo taken in May 2011.

  1. Very colourful! Definitely much nicer than it was when I visited Kusadasi which, actually, was the only place I didn't enjoy in Turkey.

  2. Cheery and bright! Outstanding. In fact, it's so festive that when I first saw it as a thumbnail I thought it might be a parade!

  4. Interesting! It's not what I expected, but now that I see this scene, it seems right. I think I was expecting something more old looking.

  6. @T Becque- I didn't take the excursion to Ephesus where the "old stuff" is. I was a little tired of antiquity after Athens. Gives me a reason to go back! :)
