I had to stop at this antique shop as soon as I saw the cute mural. They had some really nice items, including a pair of leather chairs that I still regret not buying. Photo taken in March 2008. To see more murals, stop by Mural Mondays.
I suppose that if you went back there today those chairs would be gone...but not necessarily. We've got antique shops up in Micanopy and I swear some of the same stuff has been for sale for several years! :-)
I'm not into buying antiques (no good in an RV or canal "cottage") but I would SO go into this shop -- the name and the mural make me smile and I'm sure the inside would too!
Your photo joins my two favorite topics, murals and antique stores. Mr. Toad is a pretty dapper looking guy and no doubt charms many visitors into his shop. Thanks so much for participating in this week's Monday Mural.
I'm sure Toad Hall would have been full of only the best!
ReplyDeleteWhat a dapper toad! And a great way to use the wall! Nice find...
ReplyDeleteThis frog mural makes the street bright.
ReplyDeleteFunky name! Wonder why they chose that?

Oops! I forgot to add my final comment: Croak!

ReplyDeleteNice wall painting.

shopping is always like this, you think a long time, and decide not to buy. Then when you get home, you wish you had.
ReplyDeleteGood one! I always like a nice toad.
