You'll find the Four Seasons mosaic mural gracing the Chase Tower Plaza in downtown Chicago. The work is by famed artist Marc Chagall and was gifted to the city by collector Frederick Prince back in the 1970s. It's a nice colorful piece that adds more beauty to an already beautiful city! Photo taken in August 2012. For more murals, take a look at Mural Mondays.
That's really something halcyon, very impressive!

What a beautiful mural! Chagall is one of my favorites too...this would be a lovely addition to any city!
ReplyDeletethis is a winning combination!
ReplyDeleteColorful plants and cheerful mural. Good gift to visitors.
ReplyDeleteHow cool is that? I appreciate Chagall's work and that mural is very impressive. This is a Chicago I never knew!
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely:)
ReplyDeleteI've ever been to Chicago but have always admired all the public art I have seen in pics!
ReplyDeleteI like it very much, Marc Chagall is a great artist, I saw many works of him in the south of France this summer.
ReplyDeleteJust Gorgeous, and what a setting! Fabulous
ReplyDeleteThe mosaic is beautiful. We were really quite surprised at how lovely Chicago was the first time we went there! It doesn't somehow have the reputation but it should.
ReplyDeleteI do like the use of colour here.
ReplyDeletethe subdued colours are very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI am envious that you have also been to Chicago (among your many travels!)
Chagall? Really? Color me very impressed. But I do get hung up on details. How does a third party give a mosaic mural to a city? It's not like he had all the tiny pieces stored in his garage. Is a mosaic like a fresco and can be pulled off a wall? It looks like it's full of movement as well as color. Thanks for contributing to Monday Mural.
ReplyDeletewe often say there are 4 seasons in a day here. $ seasons, an expensive hotel in Singapore.
