I found this super large scale mural during my recent weekend in Vienna. It was so big, I couldn't fit the whole thing in one shot! The mural was painted by artist ROA in 2013 - you can see some more complete views of the work here. For more murals, take a look at Mural Monday. Photo taken in May 2015.
Great mural in two ways. A pity for the graffiti on the bottom. But I like it.
ReplyDeleteA rather imposing image, it rather surprises you a bit.
ReplyDeleteI saw another mural in Rochester by this artist - recognized his style immediately!
ReplyDeleteWe have a Roa mural in Rochester, NY. Tom The Backroads Trveller

ReplyDeleteA weekend in Vienna. There's a story there...I see it as a mystery.
ReplyDeleteGolf is involved as well as a large, scruffy-looking animal whose ugly image has suddenly appeared on a wall, obliterating the beauty of the wall and the neighborhood.
A female golfer, blonde and beautiful, stands a block away. She's holding a driver and bends over to tee up a Titliest ProV XI. She does not see the bedraggled man standing in the shadows across the street holding a brush and a can of paint.
She takes aim at the mural, but as she swings the club back the bedraggled guy begins to move. She looks up just in time and cries out, "Oh my god, what are you... "
That's all...you'll have to buy the book to find out how it ends but I think you already know something about the beautiful, blonde golfer...
Funny, today we have both posted art by the same artist.
ReplyDeleteGreat work!
Wow this is certainly an impressive mural. I find it a bit disturbing but also quite fascinating.
