Memorial

In the middle of the courtyard at Tuol Sleng there is a memorial to those who died here.

The marble slabs surrounding the main stupa are inscribed with the names of the victims. A simple, yet fitting way for these people to be remembered. Photos taken in December 2016.

    1. Cambodia was one of my favourite stops on our SE Asia tour. The people were kind and open. Really amazing considering all they've been through.

  6. The number of those killed during the Vietnam war and its aftermath are mind-boggling. This is a beautiful memorial. Cambodia has gone through much suffering.
