I like these pianos also but it really helps if the person playing knows what he or she is doing! Some little kid playing chopsticks would not be ideal. :) Thanks for the info on memes! Much appreciated. I've seen the term many times but had never seen a definition.
Quite compact!
ReplyDeleteVery cool! Free music to share with people by people.

ReplyDeleteI love this idea too. I recently saw some painted pianos in Mesa Arizona but, I didn't catch anyone playing one.
ReplyDeleteMe too Hal.. they pop up in Perth often also.
ReplyDeletep.s. I now have an image of you learning to skate pushing your chair around the rink :) :)
With a piano anyone can play I'll bet "Chopsticks" is the most common song played. Interesting sign.
ReplyDeleteIt is such a thrill to catch someone playing really well!
ReplyDeleteDid you also try it out? And, if so, what did you play?
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I can't play the piano. :(
DeleteNeat idea, I've seen this before.
ReplyDeleteI wish this would happen in my small city.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. Encouraging music in life.
ReplyDeleteI followed these when they were in Toronto. It was exciting when you found someone actually playing - otherwise the poor pianos seemed rather lonely.
