I'm sure there is some significance to this scene as people had left offerings in front of the statues. Perhaps they are protectors of those who travel? Photo taken in December 2016.
Have just thoroughly enjoyed looking back through your Phnom Santuk posts Hal.. fantastic! Asian countries are so rich in colourful traditions, it's been a while since we last ventured East but I remember finding it fascinating. P so much so that he still enjoys studying the Buddhist religion.
