Edern is a small village outside Quimper in Brittany, France. This manor used to be the vocal point of the town, but has unfortunately gone a bit to ruin. It is owned by Jean-Edern Hallier and is not open to the public. This photo was taken in 2000, I wonder what this place looks like today.
It probably looks a bit worse now. I guess the owner can't afford to do anything about it.
ReplyDeleteWe want to visit Quimper someday, thanks for this lovely picture!I'm so curious about there!
ReplyDeleteLéia :)
I'm afraid that Steffe is right. Shame, must have been lovely once!
ReplyDeletePlace looks quite majestic...somehow looks like the home of Dracula's cousin or something :)
ReplyDeleteMy apologies for these cliched stereotype in my head!
You have seen so many lovely places! Are you a good flier??
ReplyDeleteI live just across this castle and you are right, the owner cant afford it. Its quite a shame because the more he wait, the more cost gets important. Please forgive my bad english. French people are not famous for their langage skills ^^
