A last look at Venice. Doesn't Saint Mark's Square look great in black and white and with all that wonderful fog? I like it anyway. Photo taken in February 2004.

Fantastic! I would would have loved to be there with fog too.
ReplyDeleteThey seem to have a lot of problems with fog in Venice.

It does look great in the monochrome version. thanks for the trip!
ReplyDeleteFog also adds charms and mystery to the city! I love this photo:)
ReplyDeleteI probably shouldn't say this but the photo reminds me of pictures of Nazi Germany in the 30s. Not that it isn't a good photo but it's got that dark and foggy look so typical of aforesaid photos.
ReplyDeleteWhenever I see photos of St Mark's Sq I am amazed at the immense size of it! i rather like the endless repetition of the arches.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photograph!
ReplyDeleteI like the composition and misty atmosphere in this photo.
ReplyDeleteRegards and best wishes
Wonderful foggy day in black and white!

Perhaps ... just perhaps ... two sliding steps to the right to open up the vertical columns a bit more. That would add more black, if I am right. But certainly a great building to work with, especially with the fog lurking ...
ReplyDeleteLovely structure. Massively big building
ReplyDeleteBeatyful..;-D
ReplyDeleteThe fog adds mystery to the beauty of Venice.
