Red clay and bridge

Nothing like some good Oklahoma red clay. If you look in the background, you'll see a small footbridge. Photo taken in July 2010.

  1. I wonder if that red clay is good for sculpting? I like all Sunday Bridges, your footbridge is no exception. :-)

  2. Looks familiar. When I was a child I used to spend holiday at my Granny's in the mountains, and the landscape was similar there - isn't it bizzare?
    Have a nice week ahead!

  3. That is one huge body of clay and water. I can;t help but wonder what it would feel like to jump in...like a mud/clay bath...I think not! The colors of the clay with all the green of the landscape in the background makes for a lively contrast. The bridge is back there just waiting for the viewer to spot it. I enjoyed this shot greatly.

  4. I think I've probably said this before, but wow you travel a lot! Must be wonderful.

  5. «Louis» lived in Oklahoma some 30 years ago. He had forgotten about all that red clay soil there. If your car got wet from driving through puddles of water with that clay in it from a rainstorm, it was always hard to clean it off the car.

Belatedly, «Louis» thanks you for your double-contribution to Sunday Bridges.

  6. Great color. I love that the bridge is "hiding" in the background.
