Red Rathaus


The grand entrance to the main City Hall of Berlin. It's in the former East, but since this building was grander than the one in the West, the city decided to consolidate and use this one. Photo taken in July 2006.

    It's built on such a grand scale...look how big the doorway and windows are compared to humans! Quite amazing!

    Probably a place to avoid back in the "good ol' days" of a divided Berlin!
