A small Jewish cemetery in the Prenzlauer Berg district of Berlin. Unfortunately, the older graves have not survived without some vandalism. But the site is well-protected these days. Photo taken in July 2006.
I was in Germany for 3 years (military spouse stationed there) ... we left in December of 1989, which was just shortly after the Berin Wall came down. While it was a joyous occasion, I was sad because during our stay in Germany, we were not allowed to venture to East Germany. Sigh.
Beautiful! If you haven't been to Prague yet, don't forget to visit the Jewish Cemetery there.
ReplyDeleteI agree with JM - Jewish Cemetery in Prague is a must, but the one you show us here is worth a visit!
