There were plenty of shopping ops in Kusadasi. I like the way the streets are decorated with the paper lamps. It gave the city a festive feeling. Photo taken in May 2011.
@T Becque- I didn't take the excursion to Ephesus where the "old stuff" is. I was a little tired of antiquity after Athens. Gives me a reason to go back! :)
Very colourful! Definitely much nicer than it was when I visited Kusadasi which, actually, was the only place I didn't enjoy in Turkey.
ReplyDeleteCheery and bright! Outstanding. In fact, it's so festive that when I first saw it as a thumbnail I thought it might be a parade!
ReplyDeleteLovely lamps so colourful, and the street looks so clean!
ReplyDeleteInteresting! It's not what I expected, but now that I see this scene, it seems right. I think I was expecting something more old looking.
ReplyDeleteWhat a colorful street and I am getting a geography lesson through your posts on Turkey... What a great trip!
ReplyDeleteBises,
Genie
