A statue of young person overlooks the Place du Pilori in Angers, France. I think the black and white makes this street scene somehow more special. Photo taken in June 2001.
A beautiful blue sky day at Place du Mail in Angers, France. It's a nice place for a stroll on a sunny day, but watch out for the petanque players and the many dogs! Photo taken in June 2001.

This one is for Genie at Paris and Beyond. She showed one of the beautiful window displays at the Repetto shop in Paris a few days ago. I found this picture of their shop in my archives. Unfortunately I didn't have a good picture of the display which included sequined and crystal encrusted toe shoes. But I hope you'll enjoy this look anyway. Photo taken in August 2006.
The Corinthian pillars at Parc Monceau in Paris. It's a park full of architectural wonders, including pyramids and a windmill! Photo taken in January 2003.
You'll find this mosque in the 5th arrondisement. It's a beautiful structure and there's a lovely little cafe inside where you can have authentic mint tea, or at least you used to be able to. There are also traditional baths. Photo taken in June 2004.

This doorway will take you to one of the pretty courtyards off Worth Avenue in Palm Beach, Florida. This one's for Jacob who recently featured this famous street on his blog. Photo taken in 1999.
Edern is a small village outside Quimper in Brittany, France. This manor used to be the vocal point of the town, but has unfortunately gone a bit to ruin. It is owned by Jean-Edern Hallier and is not open to the public. This photo was taken in 2000, I wonder what this place looks like today.
A monochrome shot of a flooded pathway in Angers, France. I studied at the business school tin this city and this shot was taken with my very first digital camera, an Olympus C2000Z.It used AA batteries and you could only take about 10 shots or so before they were depleted. When I look back at these shots, the quality is not very good either. Luckily technology has progressed! I'll have more Olympus shots coming up in the next few weeks. Photo taken in 2001.
This lovely lady greets guests at the entrance of the Boca Raton Resort. I've shown you this fountain before by night. Photo taken in January 2009. Hope you enjoy this bonus fountain shot!
A cemetery is a perfect subject for black and white. This one can be found in the city of Kona on the Big Island in Hawaii. Photo taken in January 2010.
Some Chinese still live in these traditional cave dwellings. We visited this one in Xian during our visit in November 2008. It's quite primitive, but it was interesting to meet the people who live there.
Details of the concert hall which overlooks the Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin. If you're ever there, don't forget to stop at the Rausch shop for a hot chocolate. You won't regret it! Photo taken in December 2010.
This bridge takes you over the Schwielowsee in Caputh, Germany. It's a small village just outside of Berlin. Their main claim to fame is Einstein's summer home, which I have shown you before. Photo taken in June 2010.

These doors will take you into the Clos du Val, one of the many wineries that line the roads of Napa Valley. We stopped in for a taste of their fine reds. Such fun, but be careful - you can get tipsy quick! Photo taken in February 2010.
This bridge takes you over a small creek. From this point you can access a walking trail and the cross-country skiing trails, they have both classic and freestyle trails for skiing. What a beautiful backdrop for a nice stroll or ski.

We stayed only one night in Zurich before flying home, but it was enough time to see the Picasso exhibit that was going on there. Very interesting and despite how it might seem in this photo, it was packed! Photo taken in January 2011. To see more monochrome shots, please visit the Weekend in B&W.
I would have loved to bring one of these home with me from Berlin, but sadly there wasn't enough space in my baggage. A very cute idea though! Photo taken at the Charlottenburg Christmas market, December 2010.
