This crane calls Disney's Animal Kingdom home. They have a lot of birds and other animals on display. It was quite interesting to see all the birds, as I doubt there's much chance I'd ever see them in the wild.

No doubt that it's a place that I would love to visit and take lots of pictures, this bird is adorable!

It's a beautiful bird! I was lucky to have seen them in India.
ReplyDeleteJM: I saw him in the "fake" India section of Disney's Animal Kingdom. I have to admit, the animal displays were pretty neat.
ReplyDeleteI just came over from reading about chickens on a friend's blog - and what 'commercial' hens go through. It is so wonderful to see this beautiful bird healthy and roaming free. What a difference.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason I've started to appreciate birds a lot more in the last 5 or 10 years. I love seeing this red-headed beauty!
ReplyDeleteWell, now I guess we'll have to visit Animal Kingdom...a beautiful bird!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great face on that bird! I'm always fascinated by the details on animals.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot of the Sarus Crane Halcyon! I am a craniac myself and this bird is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI see they are listed on the IUCN threatened list as vulnerable. I hope we can keep them from extinction!
