Mama croc

Every baby has a mother and this one was keeping a close eye on our boat as we snapped our shots of her offspring. Our guide said theses two specimens are American crocodiles and there are plenty more living and breeding in the Old Belize River. It was quite a good place for a wildlife tour. Photo taken in December 2011.

hmmm the baby is cute, but I'm afraid of his mammy there! :)
Cool shot, very well done!

Very nice camouflage as well as balancing act. What a great boat tour.

There are some American crocs in south Florida. I don't much care for alligators but I really don't like crocs! Ugh!

Yoiu would think it is a piece of wood. But it bites.

OK she may look even a little bit meaner than our alligators! But the momma gators don't like their babies to be interfered with either (and who can blame them really?)
