These musicians and dancers were waiting on the pier to entertain us as we docked at Roatan, Honduras. They kept it up from 8am to 5pm, which is quite something since the dancing was quite physical. I enjoyed their chants and drums. I can almost hear them again now... Photo taken in December 2011.
What a welcome!
ReplyDeleteDid you find out what they were chanting?
@VioletSky - no idea, but it sounded nice.
ReplyDeleteAlways fun to see local people dancing and singing. Are you on a cruise?

They look great and seem to enjoy themselves. Hard to believe they were able to dance and sing for such a long time!
ReplyDeleteWonderful! Can't imagine having that much energy!
ReplyDeleteGreat action in this shot and they are dancing with free abandon!
ReplyDeleteI am catching up - love the Galveston Sunrise and the Sony building in particular. Hope that you have an adventuresome 2012, mon amie.
